We are excited to announce that six-time MLL All-Star and four-time D1 All-American Joe Walters, has recently elected to become an Adrenaline Professional Athlete. Walters, a native of Rochester, New York, had an illustrious college career at the University of Maryland as well as recurrent success at the Major League Lacrosse level. Although Joe will be one of the oldest and most conditioned Adrenaline Athletes to join the team, he transmits a youthful presence that fits the Adrenaline Lacrosse culture and mission.

Alex Cade, CEO of Adrenaline can’t say enough about Joe’s approach to life…

“Joe came out to San Diego during the early days of Adrenaline.  While he was a consummate professional and a great clinician, what really struck me about him was that he has the perfect balance of fun and intensity that every athlete should strive for. Joe’s passion for the game continues to be evident, as year and in year out he’s one of the top players in the world.”

His career at Maryland was nothing short of remarkable, as he became UMD’s all-time leader in goals and points with 153 and 227, respectively. His senior year performance earned him his second First Team All-American selection, first ACC Player of the Year award, and the prestigious Turnball Award (best attackman in the country). He was considered the top shooter in the sport of lacrosse and developed into one of the top feeders in the game, all while still playing at the collegiate level.  The summer before his senior season Walters was selected as the only collegiate player to the US Men’s National team.

At the pro level, Walters has been a MLL All-Star in seven out of eight seasons for three different squads; Rochester Rattlers, Hamilton Nationals, and more recently the Chesapeake Bayhawks. He is a two-time MLL champion and led the Rochester Rattlers to their first championship as a franchise in 2008. Walters is also a three-time NLL champion with the Rochester Knighthawks. Their latest and most recent championship can be accredited to Walters’ toughness in the final minutes of the game, as he had the last three points (1,2) to bring his team back from behind, win the ‘ship and the game’s MVP. Walters has honed his indoor craft and worked his way to the top of the game as, arguably, one of the top five American offensive players in the NLL today.

We are thrilled for Joe to join the Adrenaline Family and we look forward to working with him moving forward.
