DEMAND GENERATION MANAGER

Position Overview

The Demand Generation Manager serves as a critical member of the go-to-market team and will collaborate internally with senior stakeholders in Sales, Business Development and Event Operations.  Responsible for developing and executing demand creation campaigns that generate and accelerate pipeline, deepening  key customer relationships while driving sales conversions. Utilize a data-driven approach to design and deploy multi-channel campaigns and measure effectiveness.  Key objectives include: increasing brand awareness, creating leads & demand creation, accelerating the sales pipeline, increasing customer engagement and increasing sales opportunities.   

Job Summary:

Demand Generation Manager is responsible for developing a comprehensive, full-funnel demand generation strategy, including designing & executing marketing campaigns for each stage of the buyer journey, accelerating the sales pipeline, and reporting on KPIs to illustrate campaigns result which increase brand awareness, and customer engagement. 

Reports to: CEO

Number of Individuals reporting directly to and indirectly to: 1-2 direct reports, in addition may direct the activities of third-party providers.

Essential Functions 

Demand Generation

  • Develop a comprehensive, full-funnel demand generation strategy. Create a strategy to identify and generate new, qualified leads and efficiently move them through pipeline.
  • Develop a marketing plan to generate new prospects through various channels.
  • Own and manage demand generation campaign strategy, including social media, email, events and content syndication for targeted audiences.

Funnel Management

  • Qualify leads by level of interest (customer segmentation) and tailor content and personalize messaging to respective audience.
  • Identify leads most likely to convert, deepen relationships with prospective customers leveraging marketing tactics to increase customer engagement.
  • Deliver compelling, specific messaging strategy for each stage of the buyer journey, creating an engaging customer experience with bottom-line results.
  • Leverage data such as conversion and drop-off rates to assist on focus on right prospects to drive sales.
  • Translate brand goals into measurable and trackable metrics to measure the success of campaigns.

Brand Management

  • Oversee digital channel including online, social media, marketing collateral, etc.
  • Develop and implement brochures, print, or electronic communication and ads that successfully deliver information and key messages to customer segmentation that inform and educate them on the events and apparel products.

Marketing Campaigns

  • Develop and execute innovative marketing programs, for the events and apparel business lines, that generate qualified leads and migrate prospective customers through the pipeline.
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of campaigns from strategic development, design & execution of end-to-end marketing campaigns that delivers results. Report on ROI of campaigns.
  • Develop and manage the full multi-channel marketing calendar, ensuring all materials are delivered on time and on budget.
  • Set and accomplish clear monthly and quarterly goals in building awareness and driving sales, including new customer acquisition across event and apparel business lines.
  • Work with content to plan and develop and operationalize marketing programs (e.g. webinars, campaigns, social posts, paid media, email, other touchpoints, etc) that generate brand awareness and qualified pipeline.

Marketing Technology

  • Manage our marketing tech stack (Salesforce, etc.) analytics infrastructure, and attribution model.

Results and KPI’s

  • Measure and evaluate marketing results.
  • Forecast, measure, analyze and report on the impact of demand generation campaigns on sales pipeline and bookings
  • Build systems and processes that will track and report on key performance metrics that identify ways to continually optimize campaign strategies
  • Develop reporting on key demand generation KPIs, track progress vs goals, and ensure we have strong insights into performance and trends.

People & Organization

  • Mentor, coach and develop staff member(s) to achieve goals and professional development.
  • Build and foster collaborative relationships with other departments to aid in supporting and achieving team goals.
  • Manage third-party agencies, ensuring alignment with our internally-developed product & brand marketing strategies; manage the use of external resources as they pertain to the marketing and communications function (e.g., advertising agency, printers, etc.). Negotiate & manage all aspects of marketing contracts.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing or related field
  • Salesforce Marketer Certification (Preferred)

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years marketing experience (Required)
  • Minimum of 3 years apparel industry experience (Preferred)
  • Minimum of 2 year of Salesforce experience (Preferred)
  • Minimum of 1 year managing Demand Technology Stack (Preferred)

Skills

  • Software experience (Salesforce, MS Office, Excel).
  • Knowledge of SEO, social media skills, etc.
  • Knowledge of B2B databases with an ability to develop in-depth understanding of locating appropriate target persona and company criteria
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to leverage data to guide decisions
  • Prospecting skills and ability to target prospective customers
  • Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated history of achieving on-time / on-budget projects  on a monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Experience in budgeting, planning and running omni-channel marketing programs, leveraging CRM
  • Experience managing marketing budgets and maximizing ROI
  • Natural ability to lead, motivate and collaborate
  • Proven planning, prioritization, organizational and time management skills

License / Certification

Salesforce Marketer Certification (Preferred)

Travel

Less than 10%.  There will be occasional travel, including weekend travel, as needs arise.

Salary range for California: The base pay range for this role is between $70,000, and $90,000; your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, and experience.

SALES MANAGER

Position Overview

The Sales Manager serves as a critical member of the go-to-market team as a liaison between internal Adrenaline teams and the Sports Community.  Relationship-focused individual who is skilled at growing market share by developing a network, identifying new business opportunities, building broad & deep relationships, creatively provides solutions to customer needs, and leverages sales strategies to grow the events and apparel product lines.  Key objectives include:  creating and responding to leads, leveraging relationships to lead to increased sales opportunities, managing sales funnel to general leads through sales acquisition, as well as understanding customer’s expectations & providing solutions to ensure quality service. 

Job Summary:

The Sales Manager is responsible for optimizing sales, gross margin and maximizing market share in the assigned territory.  Create broad and deep relationships within the Sport Community with the aim to increase business development and heighten customer engagement.  

Reports to:  Vice President, Sales

Essential Functions 

Business Development 

  •  Plan and implement strategies to identify and create new business and/or new customer opportunities.
  • Build and maintain network to grow youth tournaments, clubs, recruiting, apparel and training programs.
  • Develop new business through cold-calling and lead follow up.
  • Develop and foster customer relationships to promote and grow event and apparel product lines.

Build & Deepen Customer Relationships 

  • Strengthen relationships with established customers through regular customer calls, while continuously identifying and nurturing potential new customers.
  • Create and deliver dynamic presentations to program directors, coaches and customers that demonstrate solid understanding of customer needs, strong understanding of Adrenaline’s product assortment and marketing programs and how our service and solutions meet or surpass their expectations.
  • Coordinate, educate and motivate program directors to promote and sell event participation/ apparel.
  • Work directly with sports team coaches and volunteers in a consultative approach to outfit their teams with the right gear within their needs and objectives.

 Manage Sales Cycle 

  • Actively manage sales funnel including cold calling and networking through customer acquisition phase.
  • Generate awareness, to prospective customers, of the benefits when working with Adrenaline.
  • Continuously outreach and leverage techniques to generate interest with prospective customers.
  • Respond to customer interest, highlight value to prospective customer as they are evaluating their decision.
  • Demonstrate understanding of customer priorities and provide solutions or overcome resistance.
  • Secure commitment and customer acquisition for customer to participate in events or purchase gear and apparel through Adrenaline.
  • Follow-up to understand customer experience, build trust, and foster on-going relationship.
  • Use and maintain contacts in CRM system, leverage sales tools and other proprietary sales tools to understand account base and prioritize activities.
  • Generate revenue and achieve realistic and attainable performance goals.

Customer Support 

  • Collaborate with marketing and product development on new product ideas based on understanding of customer’s needs.
  • Willing to travel to and work regional and national trade shows, often times over weekends.
  • Regularly meet and communicate with employees and management on the health of tournaments, clubs, recruiting, and training programs and goals.
  • Work closely with event operations and sales team, and other departments to problem solve customer issues, requests and leads on potential customer and/or sale.
  • Ensure meticulous communication at all times with sales and events team.
  • Be available to help at events with retail sales (Roadshow) and event reach out.
  • Willing to travel to events, within territory and for sales meetings.

Results and KPI’s 

  • Grows book of business.

Qualifications

Position Requirements (Qualifications) 

Education:  Bachelor’s Degree and/or related experience in sales.

Experience: 

  • Minimum 2 years sales or customer service experience (Required)
  • Minimum 2 years business-to-business (B2B) outside sales experience (preferably in sporting goods) or coaching/sports-related background (Preferred)
  • Minimum of 2 years Lacrosse, sports industry experience (Preferred)
  • Minimum of 2 year of Salesforce experience (Preferred)

 Or equivalent combination of education & experience will be considered. 

 Skills 

  • Software experience (Salesforce, MS Office, Excel).
  • Ability to develop and implement a strategic sales plan to drive revenue at the account level as well as across the entire territory. Strong desire to grow business, increase volume and generate revenue. 
  • Strong relationship-building and networking
  • Must be able to effectively communicate; verbally and in writing with individuals at all levels of an organization.

 Salary range for California: The base pay range for this role is between $40,000 and $50,000; your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, and experience.

  • Top Performers in earn $150,000+
