Event Preview: 2015 Adrenaline All American Game
May 5th, 2015
San Diego, CA- Adrenaline will kick off the 2015 event season with the most renowned display of western lacrosse as the best players from west of the Mississippi battle it out in the annual Adrenaline All American Game. The Stars & Stripes youth through middle school tournament will take place before the game and include clinics ran by the future collegiate athletes. This action-packed day of lacrosse will be held Saturday, June 6th at Rancho Bernardo High School in San Diego, CA.
Fifteen years ago Adrenaline made it their mission to sway recruiters to travel west to watch western players in their own element, all while corralling the best talent in the west via club partnerships, West Coast Starz and high-profiled recruiting events to give players the best visibility possible. Last year, Adrenaline events saw 713 recruiters from 370 NCAA schools in 38 different states, which likely contributed to the fact that 832 western players overall held NCAA roster spots in 2014 (250% increase from 2013). What have kept recruiters coming back are the current western born NCAA players that are having a powerful impact on the collegiate game. Many of these western born athletes who we all watch throughout the spring are previous Adrenaline All Americans and products of the Adrenaline Recruiting System. Notable past All-American players who have proven themselves worthy contenders at the next level are Ryan Laplante (Denver), Eric Adamson (Denver), Eddy Glazener (Notre Dame), Mikey Schlosser (Michigan), Keiran Eissler (Hopkins), Joe Lang (Harvard), Bear Goldstein (Princeton), Cole Johnson (Army), Challen Rogers (Stony Brook), Jake Seau (Duke) and Anthony Abadessa (Colgate).
“The All American game is a wonderful celebration of the growth of the game out west and the huge accomplishments of the best young talent that is heading out to the NCAA level as the next generation of ambassadors for the non-traditional regions,” says Jono Zissi, Adrenaline’s Recruiting Sales Director. “Many of these boys have played with and against one another over the years and this game is a fitting and competitive tribute that serves as a closing ceremony on the impressive careers of the class of 2015”.
Past rosters have quickly put to rest the notion that western talent remains years behind the traditional hotbed regions of the East. This year’s high expectations will undoubtedly be matched. The North and South rosters are equally stacked with some of the best talent in the country, highlighted by 53 DI, 2 DII, and 7 DIII players from nine different states- CA, OR, NV, AZ, CO, WA, UT, TX, MN- and Canada. Key players for the South team include Nate Marano (Denver), Connor McCroskey (Harvard), Cade Van Raaphorst (Duke), Hugh Crance (Notre Dame) and Jesse Cuccia (UNC); and for the North team, top players include Sam Ramano (Syracuse), John Duffy (Loyola), Max Tuttle (Sacred Heart), Michael Giannapolous (Georgetown), Finn Barry (Furman) and Quinn Eissler (High Point).
Below are the rosters for the 2015 North and South Rosters:
With help from our leading sponsor, STX, each player will receive the ultimate Adrenaline treatment with fashion-forward, customized gear from head-to-toe. This year’s jersey design has diverged from the regular red, white, and blue, integrating North and South themes to intertwine a sense of western pride in addition to representing the top tier of the USA-born sport. These fully sublimated Adrenaline AeroLyte Jerseys are made of our new surf inspired fabric that offers the same 4 way stretch, quick dry function with the ultimate durability. They also have VendettaMesh side and back inserts that allow for breathability and lightweight feel. The players will also receive the latest poly/spandex Adrenaline Technical Shooter to compliment their warm-up attire. To rought out the apparel portion of the outfit, players will reveal the never before worn 1776 Red/Blue woven Vendetta socks, coming soon to the 2015 Summer line! Additional essential lacrosse accouterments include custom STX Stallion 500 helmets, Cell 3 gloves, arm guards, arm pads, and elbow pads, and Shield Pro gloves for the goalies (stay tuned for the full uniform/gear release!).
Two additional high profiled sponsors include Gatorade and 33Plays. Gatorade will be on site ensuring each player participating in the Stars & Stripes tournament and the All American game are properly hydrated with the latest Gatorade products, including recovery bars and shakes. 33Plays, the exclusive provider of End Line Net Systems for Adrenaline events, will provide the proper equipment to ensure a safe environment for athletic play.
During halftime of the game, Adrenaline will join in on the celebration of life of former Adrenaline All American, Jeremy Huber, by presenting a current All American player an award in his honor. This player will represent all the major qualities that Jeremy embraced, such as heart, selflessness, altruism, scholastics, loyalty, leadership and charisma. Jeremy played for Vegas Starz, West Coast Starz, and was a freshman on the Johns Hopkins University Lacrosse team.
A live broadcast of the game will be available via youtube so people around the country can watch firsthand the overwhelming talent that is now heavily routed in the west (link coming soon!).
