After spending weekend one of summer on the east coast, Adrenaline makes the trek back west, kicking off San Diego Prospect Day coupled with the America’s Finest Rivalry tournament this weekend in Southern California. After an amazing showing at Platinum Cup where Middle School and Youth programs were vying for a spot in the USL Youth Nationals tournament, western programs will also compete to earn points on the #RoadToDelaware (which happens to also take place at the same location as Blackcard and Platinum Cup: D.E Sports Turf Complex).

Rooted in San Diego, Adrenaline covets this SoCal summer event that takes place at the much familiar Del Mar Polo Fields. A prime location only a mile from the beach and close to world renown hikes, restaurants, and at this time of year, the famed San Diego County Fair, the weather is sure to be temperate while the rest of the country is melting. The competition has increasingly grown in variety and talent with over 100 boys and girls teams in attendance. Teams will travel in from over the west including CA, AZ, KS, NV, WA, ID, CO and Canada and compete for division titles, all while being scouted by top NCAA mens and womens coaches. Boys teams will compete in three regular pool play games on Saturday followed by playoffs on Sunday. Girls teams will play a set four game schedule with the top two seeds from each division earning a spot in their respective championship game in day two. Seven boys teams will be crowned division champions, while six girls teams will go home the #1 seed. The weekend schedule and live score updates can be found on Tourney Machine here.

Elite players will maximize their trip to Del Mar and compete in clinics and games on Friday evening where they will learn and interact with top NCAA coaches. Mens coaches include Maryland, Princeton, Navy, Richmond, Lehigh, and Hobart, to name a few. Womens coaches include Stanford, Cal Berkeley, SDSU, Fresno State, Pomona, Kent State and more.
