With the 2019/20 school year officially in play, Adrenaline is proud to announce a partnership with Inside Lacrosse on a groundbreaking Western event, the Western High School Lacrosse Championships. Utilizing Inside Lacrosse’s western rankings system, the Top 32 boys & Top 32 girls teams from West of the Mississippi will compete over the course of a weekend for the official western title. Taking place at the top-rated OC Great Park facility in Southern California, there will no longer be anecdotes about who is the best in the West as this event will prove it once and for all. Inside Lacrosse will be providing intensive media coverage live from the event as the top Western high school level teams battle for western bragging rights in front of invited NCAA coaches.

Please note: In states or regions where out of season play is not permitted, teams will be attending as club programs.

Teams will be invited based on Inside Lacrosse’s 2019 spring season rankings across 17 different states, including AR, AZ, CA, CO, ID, KS, MN, MS, NE, NM, NV, OK, OR, SD, TX, UT and WA. The 2019 boys and girls rankings can be found here and here, respectively. The rankings of the actual tournament will be determined by where those teams finish in Spring 2020.

The weekend will begin with a two-sided, 16 team bracket that will feed into one championship game for both boys and girls. Full-length championship games will be broadcast live via major media outlets with a full production crew. Each team is guaranteed 5 games by way of extended bracket play, and each game will count towards their final ranking. This experience will advance the Adrenaline mission of shining the spotlight brightly on western lacrosse, and what better way to put this event on a national stage than bring on board the most anchored lacrosse media company in the game.

“This is something we have wanted to do for a very long time,” says Alex Cade, CEO of Adrenaline. “This event fits with one of our core values of championing western lacrosse, but it also settles the ongoing debate on who is the best in the West.  We are thrilled that Inside Lacrosse will be joining this mission and loudly trumpeting the western game through this event.”

“Inside Lacrosse is excited to partner with Adrenaline to bring the best high school teams from the west together,” adds Josh Davey, Sales and Events Manager at Inside Lacrosse. “With IL’s objective ratings being the basis for team attending, paired with Adrenaline’s first class event experience, we know this will be an event unlike any before.”
