A 2007 graduate of the University of Virginia with a BA in Government, Turner was a four-year letterman for the Cavaliers. He was the UVA defensive MVP in 2006, leading the Cavaliers to the ACC Championship and NCAA title. Turner was an All-ACC first team selection in 2007, and named to the All-ACC Tournament team in 2006 and 2007. He was also named USILA All-American in 2006 and 2007.
Turner also enjoyed a successful professional career after he was selected second overall in the Major League Lacrosse draft by the Boston Cannons, the highest goalie ever picked in a MLL draft. He made an immediate impact, being named the Cannons’ Defensive MVP in 2008. A three-time MLL Defensive Player of the Week in 2010, Turner was named the MLL Goalkeeper of the Year for his outstanding play.
In 2011 and 2012 Turner has been a part of 2 MLL Championship teams. First, in 2011 with the Boston Cannons, and this year in 2012 was the goalie for the Chesapeake Bayhawks.
Turner coached at Brown University in Providence, RI. In his two years of coaching he produced two All-Ivy Goalies. He worked with the offense and clearing units as well. “Kip has been an outstanding goalie coach and a great role model in his first year(s) with the Brown Lacrosse program,” said Tiffany. “He has proven himself to be a valuable asset to the men, to the program and to me.
Turner is the current assistant coach at the University of Virginia.
Adam Ghitelman is the Assistant Coach after serving as Head Coach of the University of Southern California men’s club lacrosse program for the past year. Prior to USC, Adam served as an assistant coach at Harvard University for 4 years. During this time, Ghitelman helped the Crimson do what no other team had done in 24 years, as Harvard won the program’s first Ivy League championship since 1990 with a 5-1 conference record. The feat helped earn Harvard an at-large berth to the NCAA tournament, its first since 2006 and sixth overall, while elevating the Crimson to the highest ranking in program history at No. 11. He currently plays Major League Lacrosse for the Atlanta Blaze as a goaltender and has been in the league for 6 years. He is a team captain and MLL All-Star.
Adam has been involved with growing the sport of lacrosse and is a Co-Founder of G3 Lacrosse which provides the most elite and innovative lacrosse goaltender camps, academies, and clinics throughout the country and Marketing Coordinator for StringKing Lacrosse.
John Galloway is the Head Coach at Jacksonville University after a four-year stint at Providence College.
From Syracuse, N.Y., Galloway played goalkeeper for Syracuse University and ended his college career with an NCAA-record 59 wins while playing a record 3,776 minutes. He was a two-time First Team All-American at the position, and the only goalie in Orange history to earn the honor twice. He was also the only goalie in NCAA history to win national championships in his freshman and sophomore years.
In addition to his on-field presence, Galloway was a two-time national Academic All-American and was twice named Big East All-Academic.
While at Providence, Galloway helped coach Peter Badgley to Big East Goalkeeper of the Year and All-Big East First Team honors. It was the first time in program history that a Friar had earned the accolade. He also mentored Jarrod Neumann to an All-Big East First Team selection.
In his first season as a professional with the Rochester Rattlers (Major League Lacrosse), he was named Rookie of the Year, and in his fourth season, he was crowned the 2014 Warrior Goalie of the Year.
Galloway helped lead the Rattlers to the MLL championship game and was selected to play in the MLL All-Star Game in 2015. In addition to playing professionally, he was a member of the U.S. Men’s National Team in 2014.
Chris Buck is the Founder of Get It Done Consulting which helps student-athletes get recruited by applying sport psychology to academics resulting in higher grades. He consults with professional and amateur athletes implementing mental conditioning programs in lacrosse, golf, tennis, soccer, basketball, track/field, crew, hockey, fencing, and baseball. He also consulted in the IMG Academies Mental Conditioning department with athletes attending the Nick Bollettieri Tennis Academy, David Leadbetter Golf Academy, and the IMG Basketball, Baseball, and Soccer Academies
Buck is currently the Assistant/Goalie Coach for the Northeast Team (2011 Champions) of the Underclassmen Under-Armour All-America Lacrosse Classic (2010 – Present) and Goalie Consultant to Avon Old Farms. Previous male and female goalies he has worked with have gone to, or committed to: Notre Dame, Loyola, Johns Hopkins, Syracuse, Georgetown, Ohio State, Union, Amherst, Clark, etc.
He is also the Assistant Head Coach and Goalie Coach for New Canaan High School boy’s varsity lacrosse team and Head Coach of the Desert Mountain High School women’s lacrosse team. He coached the Arizona State All-Star Team in the Women’s National Tournament in Baltimore, MD (’08). Buck grew up and played lacrosse in Wilton, CT and played Ithaca College
