Featured alums of the week:

Anthony Abadessa– Colgate (West Coast Starz, Adrln All American, Tropics, AZ Force): Abadessa has burst on to the scene in his rookie campaign helping the Raiders to a 2-0 start after a huge 3 goal 2 assist performance this weekend in a win over Vermont. Looking good in the Adrln Strife Technical Socks!! His performance earned him Patriot Player of the Week!

Michael Kay (below)- Drexel (West Coast Starz, Adrln All American, Tropics, RC Starz): Kay started his first collegiate game for Dragons and made an immediate impact in a loss to UVA with a huge goal and two assists. This sharpshooter is poised to have a heck of a rookie campaign.

Michael Ortleib– Holy Cross (Adrln All American, Tropics) Ortleib was huge in an upset win for Holy Cross over Fairfield, giving new coach Judd Lattimore his first career win. Mikey Scholsser (below)- Michigan (Adrln All American, Tropics, ADVNC) Schlosser continued his impressive performance from week 1 with a 2 goal 2 assist outing helping the Wolverines to another win, and creating a showdown with Midwest rival Notre Dame this weekend!

Eric Adamson– Denver (West Coast Starz, Tropics, OC Kings) Adamson, a regular on our player of the week tracker, continued his stellar career with a 4 goal, 1 assist day to help Denver outlast Duke, 17-13.

Other Highlights:

Denver showed why everyone is picking them to win in their preseason polls, with a huge win on the road at Duke. Wesley Berg (West Coast Starz) was strong with an assist and Goalie Ryan Laplante(Adrln All American) was huge in net with 10 saves. Jack Pruitt (West Coast Starz, Adrln All American, Tropics, Seattle Starz), Mike Riis (West Coast Starz, Tropics, Alpha Starz) and Bryce Parietti (Adrln All American) all were key contributors in the win!

Bellarmine picked up their first win of the season behind the stellar defense from Kevin Fahey (West Coast Starz, Tropics, LaxDawgs) and Jack Perkins (West Coast Starz, Adrln All American, Tropics, LaxDawgs) who had 2 goals and an assist.

Ohio State picked up a crucial victory over a pesky Delaware team, paced by a 5 goal, 1 assist performance from Jesse King (Adrln Challenge All Star).

Bucknell got back to their winning ways with a big win versus Bryant. Brock Ghelfi (West Coast Starz, Adrln All American, Tropics, AZ Force) had a pivotal goal during the run and Zack Henkhaus (West Coat Starz, Tropics, LA Lazers) was solid in between the lines all game long from his defensive midfield position. In the loss Cameron Ziegler (West Coast Starz, Adrln All American, Alpha Starz) and Collins Gantz (Adrln All American, Tropics) had goals, while #1 defenseman Kyle Mummau (West Coast Starz, Adrln All American, Tropics, Alpha Starz) continued to be a monster down low.

For Fairfield, freshman Brad Nordstrom (West Coast Starz, Adrln All American, Tropics, RC Starz) got his first career start in net and did an admirable job with 9 saves and several great clears.

Notre Dame, another preseason pick to be atop the polls come May, took down Georgetown in their opener. Matt Kavanaugh (Adrln Tropics) was key with a goal and 2 assists while defenseman and chirp master Edwin Glazener (West Coast Starz, Adrln All American, Adrln Tropics, RC Starz) was impressive in his starting defense position.

We look forward to seeing Notre Dame and Michigan battle it out this coming weekend with many WCS alums in the mix, Michael HernandezChris CarterKyle RunyonLiam BourkeBrendan Gaughan, & Pat Tracy.

Duke lost a tough battle to Denver but managed to walk away 3-1 after another double-header weekend. Chad Cohan (below) (West Coast Starz, Adrn All American) was big on the weekend with a 3 goal performance versus the Pioneers. Jake Seau (West Coast Starz, Adrln All American, Tropics, RC Starz) scored the first goal of his collegiate career and finished with 1, 1 versus the Mercer Bears.

Princeton kicked off the season with a victory over Manhattan and senior netminder Eric Sanshagrin(West Coast Starz, Adrln All American, Alpha Starz) got the win with 9 saves while starting defenseman Bear Goldstein (Adrln All American) was excellent from his spot down low. For Manhattan, Andrew Gresham (Adrln All American) and Wes Schuler (Adrln) both registered points.

Syracuse looked in midseason form as they rolled over Cornell. Henry Schoonmaker was impressive (Adrln Tropics, Rhino Lacrosse) and Spencer Schmitt (Tropics) and Sean Doyle (West Coast Starz, Adrln All American, Adrln Tropics, RC Starz) all saw some great action in their reserve roles.

Army moved out to an undefeated start by throttling Jacksonville this wknd. Cole Johnson (West Coast Starz, Adrln All American, Seattle Starz) continued his offensive onslaught with a 4-point game. In the losing effort goalies Bass Barfield (West Coast Starz, Tropics) and Addison Sherwood (Adrln All American, Tropics) combined to make 12 saves while Jet Harding (West Coast Starz, Vegas Starz) scooped up 5 groundballs and Dakota Rohlin (West Coast Starz, Adrln All American, Tropics, LaxDawgs) and his flowing locks played well between the lines from his starting midfield position.

With so much parity in the first two weeks, we cant wait to check out the action and all of our western boys that are playing on NCAA rosters this coming weekend!!
