Dan Meehan

I grew up in Brightwaters, New York on Long Island in a family of 6 where I spent my days playing sports. I wanted to get a college education and play lacrosse so I went away to Washington College in Chestertown, Maryland to be the best student/athlete I could be. After graduating I had an urge to get out of New York so I moved to San Diego to start my life in the “real world”. I have been coaching lacrosse in San Diego since moving here in 2002, and have been amazed at the growth I’ve seen in the sport out West. I enjoy working at Adrenaline because I love the people I work with and our collective desire and efforts to grow the game.

What is your favorite Adrenaline Moment?

My favorite Adrenaline moment is when we won the Adrenaline Shootout with the SD Laxdawgs in the summer of 2011. That team was a tough group that played team lacrosse, and they played harder than their opponents always. Throughout the tournament we faced teams that were way more “talented” on paper with long lists of committed players. That Laxdawgs team simply didn’t care who those individuals were. They brought a tough team mentality to every game and grinded out wins en route to the Championship. Team beats talent, and that team proved it!
