America’s Finest Rivalry

America’s Finest Rivalry is a revolutionary and unmatched lacrosse experience combining the highest level of regional competition and NCAA college coaches with a top level destination event atmosphere. Hosted at one of the country’s premier tournament venues, the leading regional youth through high school teams compete while also enjoying the unique environmental factors that are quintessentially Adrenaline. New this year, college coaches will be in attendance to run collegiate level clinics & seminars with the high school aged players. Teams are guaranteed five games throughout the weekend, competing for the ultimate prize of the AFR Championship. ADRLN reps onsite to mindfully recommend to coaches & their players other events that could be a good fit & value for them to attend in order to provide further collegiate exposure opportunities

Adrenaline’s vision is to capture the distinct aspects of each city we visit and provide a regional experience for the thousands of people in attendance. In order to accomplish this, Adrenaline curates the best food, shopping, and entertainment options in each location, and showcases them in the Adrenaline Vendor Village. Find out more about what to do off field with your team on our Local Attractions tab.

This event is part of The US Lacrosse Sanctioning Program, which provides best practices for tournament operators in order to create a more safe and consistent event. U.S. National Team Development Tryouts

Think you have what it takes to play for USA? US Lacrosse will be hosting regional tryouts for the U.S. National Team Development Program at America’s Finest Rivalry. This is the first step in becoming a part of the USA Select U16 and U18 Teams. Players will be trained and evaluated during this session by U.S. Men’s and Women’s National Team athletes & coaches – who will work to furnish invitations to the final tryout hosted in Maryland in August. This will culminate in an international competition in the Fall of 2021. During tryouts, the goal is to mirror the same level of elite training and evaluation used by the U.S. National Team. Each aspect of this event will not only provide participants with the opportunity to showcase their skill, but also give them insight as to what it takes to become a high-level player. Drills will include an emphasis on stick work, dodging, clearing, small-sided play, man up/man-down situations, full-field play, and Olympic model play. Throughout the tryout, individuals will be evaluated on athleticism, stick work, positional skill, game IQ, decision making, and overall field presence.

To be eligible for the 2021 National Team Development Program, individuals must be born on or between September 1, 2002 and August 31, 2008-

U18: The player must be born on or between September 1, 2003 and August 31, 2005.
U16: The player must be born on or between September 1, 2005 and August 31, 2007.
*Athletes may be going into college, but no athletes with current or previous college experience are permitted to participate.

Check out the full Press release for more info about the tryouts!

COACHES CONDUCT

Adrenaline Name & Shield

COACHES & DIRECTORS EXPECTATIONS

As a Coach/Director, I understand that:

  • All of my players must be registered/paid prior to stepping foot on the field.  Any player not registered/paid will not be permitted to play.
  • Eligibility requirements, at all levels of the game, must be followed.  Rules and requirements such as age, previous level of participation, and team transfers, have been established to encourage and maximize participation, fair play and to promote safety.  Adrenaline Tournament Rules can be found on each event page.
  • I should always demonstrate positive behavior and reinforce these traits to players, parents, officials and spectators.  Players should be encouraged by coaches to demonstrate positive behavior and respect for teammates, opponents, officials and spectators.
  • Spectators will be informed that positive behavior is required at all events and they should not get involved in any on field disputes.
  • My first priority is the health and safety of the players assigned to my team.
  • Grievances or misunderstandings between coaches, officials or any other parties involved with the sport should be communicated through the proper channels, never on the field of play or in view of spectators or participants.  All field tents have the ability to communicate with the Tournament Director or Main Information Tent.
  • The use of profanity or vulgar language is unacceptable.
  • The value of good sportsmanship, the concepts of fair play, and the skills of the game should always be placed above winning.
