DU Pioneers Summer Camps

Summer day camps at the University of Denver going strong for close to two decades.

Spend your summer with the pios

The University of Denver Pioneers lacrosse camps and clinics are some of the best instructional programs found anywhere in the country. These camps and clinics are run and coached by the Pioneers’ coaching staff and players. Through these programs, youth and high school lacrosse players can learn the fundamentals, skills, strategies, and techniques that it takes to become a high-level lacrosse player. These camps take advantage of the opportunities presented through athletics to teach life lessons that young players can carry off the field and into their everyday lives. At these camps, the players will experience an enjoyable and safe time together in a professional, well-organized and structured setting.

FAQs

Please note that there are no overnight campers permitted by the University this summer. Campers from out of town will need to secure their own overnight lodging: Hotel Options Near DU

LXTC Lacrosse receives many inquiries about goalie-specific camps and training. In 2016, Trevor Tierney and Ryan LaPlante created the Goalie Evolution Academy to provide high-end training for aspiring goalies.

Goalie Evolution Academy clinics always fill up quickly because available spaces are strictly limited to ensure a great experience for goalies. Click here to see if the next Goalie Evolution Academy has registration availability:  LXTC Goalie Evolution Academy Registration

If you do not see any live Goalie Evolution Academy registrations there, then please join our interest list.

We also encourage players looking for specific training at goalie or any other position (attack, midfield, defense) to register for one of our DU Lacrosse summer camps.

Our summer camps will include position-specific training during the morning sessions each day. Camp coaches commonly include current DU Pioneers goalies, who work directly with campers. Players looking for goalie-specific training will benefit greatly from the instruction at our summer camps.

We will provide lunch for all campers at our DU Summer Camps.

The dining hall for our summer camps at the University of Denver provides a wide variety of food options for campers. The dining hall is well-versed in dealing with food allergy issues.

You will have the ability to indicate any food allergy issues for a camper on the Medical Form that you will complete. The camp confirmation email will contain a link to the Medical form.

Our DU Summer Camps have a certified athletic trainer on hand at all times.

Parents will have the opportunity to speak with a trainer at the time of camp check-in to discuss any medical concerns involving a camper.

During our summer camps, players are closely supervised at every moment of the day, which is itself tightly scheduled.  They are never permitted free rein to “run around campus.”

With our years of experience running these camps, we will ensure that campers are safe, secure, and have a great time playing lacrosse with us!

After you register and pay for summer camp, you will receive a confirmation email.  The confirmation email will include a packing list of items campers should bring each day.

Yes, parents are allowed to observe camp sessions from Barton Stadium. Commonly, parents will attend the afternoon session to watch camp scrimmages.

We do not provide transportation between the airport and camp at DU.

Parents are responsible for securing transportation to and from camp on a door-to-door basis at the DU residence halls where check-in and check-out occurs.

SuperShuttle and Denver Platinum Limo are two options commonly used by parents to secure transportation from DIA to DU.

Commonly, players have used a ski bag or fishing rod case to transport longpoles for air travel.

You can also take the head off the pole, pack that in your luggage or carry it on, and then use a cardboard or plastic tube of your own making to transport the shaft.

This can be a good idea in the event that the airline misplaces the shaft, at least the player will still have his familiar head and then we can figure out a replacement shaft for him when he arrives at camp.

Congratulations to Pick Meehan from our 2028 Denver Elite team for winning the Brogden Cup with Team USA U19!
Denver Pride girls putting in work at West Coast Starz training camp out in Vegas!
Thanks to Coach T from PLL Champs @phillywaterdogs stopping by to give our 34/35 Denver Elite players some words of wisdom before practice!
Having our former Denver Elite players come back and coach the younger teams in the summer is awesome to see. @mdt_33_ put in work with our DE 2032s and is headed back to play for Delaware for the year. Thank you, Michael!
Liam Buxman DE #41
Congratulations to DE 2027 Def, Liam Buxman on his recent commitment to Concordia University - Irvine! Liam brings size and strength in his close defense role. His length and feet allow him to consistently remain on hands and create turnovers, while maintaining proper position. Along with his communication skills, Liam’s IQ and off-ball prowess make him a valuable asset in any defensive scheme. We are proud of Liam, and looking forward to watching his career as an Eagle!
Congratulations to Andrew Neilson, DE 2027 Mid, for his recent commitment to Rollins College! Andrew is an intelligent and hyper-athletic ball carrier, who dodges with C.O.D and quickness, and plays with vision and toughness. His lacrosse IQ and ability to manipulate approaching defenders allow him to apply pressure to an opposing defense, acting as an offensive QB from the midfield position. With a relentless nose for the goal, Andrew’s ability to create havoc to opposing defenses off-ball with high IQ movement and cutting, create an extremely versatile offensive player. We are happy for Andrew as we look forward to watching his lacrosse journey as a Tar!
