TEAM PLACEMENT

**As registration comes to a close, we will provide more information on the # of teams we will have at each age group.

With regards to team placements – our focus is development. Accordingly, we are going to use the two weeks of practice as an assessment period (not a tryout – just an assessment). IF there are enough kids to divide into multiple teams, players will be put on the team that allows them to develop and grow as both athletes and lacrosse players. The league is VERY strict about the age of players, so please be sure to sign your daughter up in her correct age group. If a player outgrows her team or we make an initial assessment that we find we need to alter later in the season, we will do so.

US Lacrosse, our national governing body, has stepped in with regards to division breakouts and how they expect programs to group players and teams. The SDGLA will be following the below guidelines:

BELOW ARE THE RULES FOR 2020. WE WILL UPDATE IF ANYTHING CHANGES.

The NEW guidelines put out by US Lacrosse regarding sizes of teams and field layout depending on age/grade are as follows:

1st & 2nd Grade (8U):

  • 4 v 4, No to Goalie
  • Field Size: 60-70 yards x 35-45 yards
  • Other: soft-type ball (such as perhaps tennis ball), goal size: 3 feet by 3 feet, no draws

3rd & 4th Grade (10U):

  •  8 v 8 including Goalie
  • Field Size: 60-70 yards x 35-45 yards,
  • Other: sticks with modified pocket allowed, regular goal size and ball

5th & 6th Grade (12U) & 7th & 8th Grade (14U):

  • Same rules as for high school (i.e. same as in past – subject to new 2020 rules)

For those of you not familiar with the rule of girls lacrosse- you can find all of the info here!

POLICIES

REFUND POLICY
Due to the preplanning nature of events, Adrln enforces a “No Refund Policy”.  In order to help protect your travel and registration fee’s in the event you suffer an injury either on the field or off, illness or cancellation due to inclement weather,  we encourage you to purchase the new AIG insurance policy called “Registration Saver.”  The policy covers your registration and travel fee investment for the club season.  The premium cost is 7% of the season fee and will give you relief from our strict “No Refund Policy” should an issue occur before or during the season.

Please click here to receive a quote today. If you have any questions, please call AIG directly at 866-690-6859. They are open and available for questions concerning coverage and services 24 hours each day.

PAYMENT POLICY
All players must register for tryouts in order to be considered for the team. A deadline will be given for season registration based on the clubs schedule. All players must be registered for the season by this deadline or they will risk losing their roster spot.

Players not registered by the given deadline will not be allowed to practice with the team or participate in any events until they appropriate registration/payments have been made.

There will be two payment options for the season fees:
1. Pay in full
2. Payment installment plan where the fees will be split into several installments due one month apart from each other. If this option is selected, the player still must be registered by the given registration deadline.

Any player not registered by the deadline will not be provided additional payment options and will be held to the given payment due dates. All registrations and payments must be done through the website. Out of system payments will no longer be accepted.
