Adrenaline will kick off the new decade in typical fashion, welcoming 160 boys and girls teams from 55 different club programs to the famed Del Mar Polo Fields for the annual Adrenaline Challenge. Situated one mile from the beach and a stone’s throw from the highway, the venue is easy to get to from the airport and is nothing short of spectacular when it comes to west coast sunset views. The tournament will bring together high school, middle school and youth programs from all over the U.S to compete in two days worth of championship style play. Among the 15 states represented are Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Illinois, Kansas, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, North Carolina, Nevada, Texas, Utah and Washington. Players and families aren’t the only ones traveling in, as mens college coaches from all over the country will be in attendance to jump start the weekend at the Winter Showcase.

On the boys side, the Challenge marks the last stop for players to gain exposure infront of NCAA college coaches before the Spring season. Many of the players took advantage of their trip to SoCal and are participating in the Friday afternoon clinic before the tournament begins on Saturday. This is a great opportunity for a smaller pool of players to get quality looks and interact with college coaches before heading into a sea of games with 100+ teams and thousands of other players. The showcase is capped to ensure maximum visibility with strong player to coach ratio. NCAA mens programs in attendance include Williams, Tufts, Middlebury, Amherst, Hamilton, Colby, Bowdoin, Wesleyan, Trinity, Conn College, Southwestern, Roanoke, Bard, Vassar and more! Although the Challenge is not advertised as a recruitng event on the girls side (yet), there are several womens coaches taking notice of the western talent and making the trip to SoCal to mix business with pleasure. Looking forward to seeing Kings, Southwestern, Hendrix, Wilson and Alma College out on the fields with us!

With eight boys divisions and seven girls divisions, the Adrenaline Challenge will crown fifteen champions on Sunday afternoon. The full schedule can be found on Tourney Machine here! A few breaks in the regular pool play on Saturday and playoffs on Sunday will feature exhibition games for both the Mens and Womens Japanese National Teams (Kanto). Japan will compete against the top programs at the event throughout the day. Their game is fast, strategic, and relentless. If you are at the event and can get to one of the mens or womens games, we highly suggest it!

Ty Xanders and Inside Lacrosse will also be on site all weekend long in search of the top western standouts. Additionally, our Adrenaline Evaluation Team (AET) will be on site working with coaches and scouting talent for the All-Tournament Team. Sunday AM will also feature two boys All Star Games with rosters made up of the top players from attending teams. The rosters are chosen by our Adrenaline Evaluation Team (AET), college coaches recs, and club coaches recs. Stay tuned for the release of those rosters after Saturday games!

Don’t forget to stop by vendor village for a great assortment of food, apparel and gear! The Adrenaline tent, Lacrosse Fanatic, and Tribal west will be on site with all the latest gear and deals you don’t want to miss. While you’re in between games, parents can enjoy a mid day beverage at our beer tent, while players stop by the Feel It Factory to product test Adrenaline’s newest Phoenix gloves and shafts!

If that’s not enough, Adrenaline has partnered with Yeti in an effort to reduce single use plastic at our events. By participating in the team contest, you could win custom Yeti bottles for your whole team! Find out how here.
