Adrenaline is proud to announce the addition of its newest affiliate club, The Lauderdale Landsharks. Lauderdale Lacrosse, LLC is a newly formed lacrosse program founded by Adam Bond, Paul Hummer, Mark Sawicki, David Scully and Taylor White in 2014. It is also the first travel club out of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The teams range from U9 through High School and are comprised of players from all over southern Florida. The club will compete during the summer and fall travel seasons, determined to make an immediate mark on the growth of the game and a name for themselves as the top competitive lacrosse program in the south Florida area.

Behind every elite program is a slew of talented coaches eager to pass on the knowledge and skill that aided them in their own lacrosse careers. Lauderdale Lacrosse is highlighted by a group of high-profiled coaches, many reigning from the ever-growing lacrosse hotbed, New York.

Adam Bond grew up in Fort Lauderdale, FL where he was a 2x high school All-American and played lacrosse at Johns Hopkins and Washington College.  Currently, Adam is the Head Coach of the boys’ high school lacrosse team at Calvary Christian Academy.

Paul Hummer, former #1 player in the State of Virginia during his junior and senior seasons while at Brooke Point High School, played lacrosse at Loyola College where he won a Division I National Championship in 2012.  Currently, Paul is an assistant coach of the boys’ high school lacrosse team at Cardinal Gibbons High School.

Mark Sawicki grew up in Syosset, NY and played lacrosse at SUNY Binghamton.  Currently, Mark is an active member of the Florida Bar Association and runs his own law firm.

Taylor White grew up in Manhasset, NY and played lacrosse at Bryant University and NYIT, winning a Division II National Championship in 2008.

Andrew Steiner grew up in Oswego, NY and played lacrosse at Herkimer CC and then SUNY Morrisville. He is currently an assistant coach of the boys’ high school team at Miami Country Day.

Rudy Williams grew up in Long Island, NY and played lacrosse at Nassau Community College and Greensboro College in North Carolina after serving four (4) years in the U.S. Air Force. Currently, Rudy is the head coach of the boys’ high school lacrosse team at Cardinal Gibbons High School.

Shamel Bratton grew up in Long Island, NY and played lacrosse at the University of Virginia where he was 2x first team All American and is the all-time points leader for a midfielder. Former #1 high school player in the country, former Adrenaline LXM Pro, and current member of the Charlotte Hounds of the MLL.

Connor Hunt grew up in Arnold, MD and played lacrosse at the University of North Carolina. He is a current member of the Florida Launch of the MLL.

Joe Askerberg grew up in Long Island, NY and played lacrosse at Limestone College.

The Landsharks’ mission is to make better athletes, better young men and a better community through the game of lacrosse. The owners formed the club at the youth level based on a vision of doing things differently than other travel programs in South Florida. They rallied around the notion that it is in the players’ best interest to play the game with more than just the players you go to school with and the coaches that coach your high school team. This creates a unique learning experience for the kids outside of their regular season play. “We are motivated by the love of the game to grow the game in our area that historically produces some of the best athletes in the country,” says David Scully, CEO of Lauderdale Lacrosse. Scully is also the president of the East Broward Bull Sharks, which is a recreational spring lacrosse program and a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization fielding teams from U7-U15 each spring. Paul Hummer, Mark Sawicki and Taylor White are also involved with the recreational lacrosse program as head coaches.

By partnering with Adrenaline, Lauderdale Lacrosse will gain access to the top showcase events in the country and propel their kids into the realm of college recruitment. David Scully shares his excitement for the new partnership: “the most significant benefit of being affiliated with Adrenaline is the opportunity for our players to take their game to next level.” Landsharks players will get plugged into our proven recruiting system and gain access to both team and individual recruiting events such as High Rollers, Black Card, and the Challenge. They will also qualify to try out for the highly touted West Coast Starz Club Program in which teams travel back east twice a year to compete in the nation’s top team recruitment tournaments. The collegiate exposure that Adrenaline affiliate club members gain is second to none, and we’re excited to have the Lauderdale Landshark program on board. “In South Florida, this is a benefit exclusive to the Landsharks and we’re proud to offer this incredible opportunity to our players and their families,” adds Scully. Each player will receive the Adrenaline Treatment and wear custom team uniforms to all their upcoming events.

Adrenaline is just as excited about the partnership: “Florida is very similar to California and the Southwest as far as the potential for the growth of the sport over the coming years,” says Rory Doucette, VP of Adrenaline. “The goals of the Landsharks’ club line up nicely with the mission that we have at Adrenaline, to continue providing opportunities for athletes to grow personally, and for the sport to continue to flourish in an up-and-coming market.  We are excited to be working with the Landsharks and look forward to being a part of the growth of lacrosse in South Florida.”
