Adrenaline will kick off the second half of Fall/Winter season in typical fashion, welcoming 100+ teams to the great city of Las Vegas for back-to-back SOLD OUT tournament weekends- Blackjack Classic & Sin City Showdown. One of the original locations for Adrenaline’s premier western team events, Las Vegas has expanded to two consecutive events to accommodate the growing lacrosse landscape west of the Mississippi. Furthermore, teams from the east coast are headed west to compete while enjoying a new city to explore. Both jam-packed events will serve as US Youth National Qualifiers for boys and girls teams on weekend one and two, respectively.

Adrenaline has recently partnered with US lacrosse to adhere to the highest event standards set forth by their Sanctioning program, as well as provide a platform for western club programs to earn points on the road to the newly revamped 2018 Nationals powered by NXT without having to travel really far. Programs from California, Arizona, Utah, Nevada, Washington, Colorado, Western Canada and more now have multiple western opportunities to compete for a spot in the US Youth Nationals between now and July. While youth and middle school boys programs compete for a Blackjack Classic championship title on the #RoadToDelaware, high school teams will put on a show for 25+ college coaches including top programs such as Tufts, Navy, Brown, Michigan, Rutgers and High Point. Twenty-two different boys club programs will travel in from eight different states and Canada to compete in the Blackjack Classic. Among the teams competing are SD United, RC, Vegas Starz, Denver Elite, CO Fire, Rams LC, Lax NW Rippers, DOCO, Seattle Starz, Diamond H Mustang Starz and Movin’ Up. Click here for a full list of attending teams. Live scoring and rankings will be hosted on Tourney Machine over the weekend. The full schedule can be found here.

Players will have the opportunity to learn and interact with attending college coaches the Friday evening before the Blackjack event at the Las Vegas Regional Prospect Clinic. Players will be divided into teams based on position and taken through a series of high level drills and games directed by Brown University coaches Mike Daly and Brett Holm and other top college coaches. Players will benefit from learning from some of the top minds in the game in a boutique setting, while coaches get to have a hand in the growth of western talent. Additionally, the coaches will get to see players compete in an individual setting and watch them adjust to a team play over the course of the weekend.

The momentum will continue with no shortage of competition in weekend two for the Sin City Showdown. Some program will be back for more while new ones will travel in, including girls programs for the first ever high school and middle girls school divisons. Twenty-two different boys and girls programs from seven different states will compete for division championships, including ADVNC, Idaho Outlaws, Chauncey Boys, Diamond Cut Crew, South Sound Starz, West Coast Starz, Pacific Falcons, Mad Dog, True Lacrosse, Lady Rebels, and Cardinals Lacrosse. Check out a full list of attending teams here.

The focus for US Qualifiers will shift to the girls for weekend two as the middle school programs will be vying for a spot to compete in Delaware next summer. This pool of teams will feature top programs from southern California and Seattle that continually travel back east to make a name for themselves. Among them will also be Virginia-hotbed program, Cardinals Lacrosse. As the game continues to develop out west, more teams are breaking the mold to travel to new cities and compete against more teams. Not a bad play since the competition is strong, the weather is great, and the locations are fun for the whole family! Stay tuned for a full schedule coming soon.
