Adrenaline partners with US Lacrosse to host the ONLY western tryouts for the men’s and women’s U.S. National Development Teams this summer, as well as at our top event on the east coast. The tryouts will compliment the San Diego Prospect Day and Western Showcase taking place earlier in the day to maximize player exposure to the Red, White and Blue and deconflict with NCAA coaches clinics in the afternoon. Black Card (invite only)/Platinum Cup weekend will also feature a U.S National Team tryout in the evening. In many ways, players will spend the summer “catching up”, whether it be lost time with friends on the field, getting their fill of competitive games, or playing in front of coaches to right their recruiting track. Only the top players across the nation will be invited to the U.S. National Team combine later in the summer, which would undoubtedly boost their lacrosse resume. In the never-ending list of events to choose from on where to best maximize your summer schedule, these jam-packed days are the ultimate “free two birds, one key” kind of opportunity.

Our mission at Adrenaline has not only been to grow the game out West, but to also elevate the level of play and bring more elite opportunities to the players who have the potential and talent to achieve their dreams of playing at the next level. Historically, western players have had to travel back east for their only shot at NCAA exposure. While players still go back east to compete against top programs and play in front of college coaches, they also get to stay local to their region and still be seen by programs such as Penn State, Princeton, Denver, Tufts, Syracuse, Colgate, Maryland, Bucknell, Johns Hopkins, and more. Adrenaline has made efforts to ensure this same level of “access” to higher level opportunities is available to these deserving western athletes, which is why partnering with USL on the NTDP tryouts was a perfect fit.

“It’s an honor to have Adrenaline events chosen to be a partner of the U.S. National Team pipeline,” says Alex Cade, Adrenaline CEO. “Providing players and families attending our events the additional opportunity of potentially making the USA Select U16 or U18 National Teams, while working with the top coaches in the world, is directly in line with our mission of empowering the lacrosse athlete.  We are appreciative and humbled that the U.S. National Team family has decided to partner with Adrenaline and are excited for the many opportunities this will open up for so many great young lacrosse athletes”.

“With the goal of coalescing the best talent in the US at the high school level, Adrenaline was an obvious choice for western elite level players,” says Natalie Wills, NTDP Senior Manager. “Adrenaline has spent many years perfecting best-in-class events and is a valued US Lacrosse Sanctioned Tournament Operator. We are excited to be working with Adrenaline to deliver some of the 2021 NTDP regional tryouts this summer.”
